ABOUT
Deborah Young is an Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant with more than 25 years of business and consulting experience in healthcare, technology, education and the public sector. Deborah has a passion and reputation for maximizing individual and organizational performance. She has coached leaders from the C-suite to front line managers to improve communication, increase self-awareness and collaboration resulting in more effective leaders and high functioning teams who are able to achieve strategic objectives. Her practice areas include high potential executive coaching, succession planning, assimilation coaching, change leadership, and assessment and development of leaders at all levels. She has designed and delivered many customized programs, including healthcare leadership academies, change leadership, team building and strategic planning.
Deborah’s career background includes management positions with AT&T in marketing and sales, a career consultant and executive coach at Lee Hecht Harrison and as a school psychologist. She has coached and developed programs for clients at Kaiser Permanente (physician leaders and non-physician executives), Telestream, HP, AAA, Monsanto, California Public Utilities Commission, IRS, California Department of Fish and Game, and numerous other companies.
Deborah holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from Tennessee Technological University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of California Berkeley. She is a certified LHH executive coach and with Coach U, Inc. She has certifications in multiple assessment tools: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, DISC, TKI Conflict Management Style Indicator, Hogan Lead Assessment, Management Research Group, Inc. leadership suite and LHH Change Management.
